I know its hard to look past all the terrible grammar but I’m just gonna leave this here….

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the scum of the earth.

THIS. IS. RAPE. CULTURE.

also adding: the owner of this page automatically assumed this girl was a feminist, she could have very well been transporting a piece for a project. But given the information that she was a feminist, people took a negative approach to the situation

ya’ll wonder why I support women and trans women to the extent I do, this shit is why

lets say, for the sake of argument, that the box really was an indicator of personal space
that means this presumably teenage (read: underage) girl has had an experience(s) so severe that she feels that people will touch her body against her will and that she needs to carry a metal cube around to wear like fucking armor on public transport to defend herself from other civilians
shes engrained with so much fear and defensiveness because of the reality of sexual assault on women that she is carrying a metal frame in order to physically keep people off of and away from her body and yet these people are acting like SHES the one in the wrong
i feel bloodthirsty

@MTV Dragging Katy Perry’s new video they forgot the last one tho

fallen-inspiration:

Take a break from the fandoms and take a moment to read this:

Farah Baker, a 16 year old teen living in the Gaza Strip, has been tweeting and posting on social media sites of the various indiscriminant bombings being committed by Israeli forces, most recently very violent shelling near Al-Shifa hospital by her.

In her countless tweets and numerous posts on both Twitter and Instagram, she documents live strikes using photos and videos to show her followers the severity of the situation her and thousands like her are going through every day. @farah_gazan has gone viral, spiking from 21k to 76k followers on twitter in a span of 24 hours and climbing to 300+ in a matter of hours on Instagram.

Personally, I felt like I was reading something off the diary of Anne Frank. And who knows? Our children might be reading this and asking us why we didn’t stop her from dying just like we did to our grandparents.

The tweets are heartbreaking and the videos are breathtaking. She needs your support. Let her know you stand by her. Follow her on twitter and Instagram and maybe somehow you can change history.

is-there-anyone-else-named-etta said: Why do black people straighten their hair if non-black people can't get corn row/ box braid/ whatever you consider a "black" hairstyle

lordbape:

why do white people always try to make this non-point false equivalence when they know these are two completely different realities that don’t compare on any plane whatsoever

white people not only make black people hate their hair at an individual emotional level but literally at a systemic level in which black people are and have been for the last century unable to get jobs, attend colleges, enlist in the armed forces, etc. because of the treatment of their natural hair. there literally is nothing white people have to compare…

white people are not getting box braids because they feel pressured to, or out of fear that they won’t have access to a job or anything, but instead because they know it’s an “edgy black people thing” that they’re doing to be counter culture and subversive. there is literally no pressure on earth for anyone INCLUDING BLACK PEOPLE to worship or utilize Black hairstyles or Black hair in its natural state and you fucking know it. It’s literally the complete opposite for white hair. grow up

white people are not gelling down baby hairs for social mobility or financial security or comfort or assimilation.

Read the ads

"MEN WHO GO PLACES" "WAS IT HER RESUME OR HER RELAXER?" white people don’t have ads telling them "you will not be successful in life unless you have cornrows and box braids with gelled down baby hairs" because that isn’t the case. address this in the context of reality, maybe???
